About STC
The Swiss Team Challenge is the largest team competition in the country, bringing together more than 3,000 athletes and around 800 teams every year. Whether you’re a seasoned CrossFitter or completely new to the sport — this is your chance to be part of something special.
In true CFH tradition, we’ll spend an entire day together tackling challenging workouts, enjoying BBQ and cold beers, and celebrating the community that makes events like this unforgettable. The main goal is FUN.
All you need to do is join or build a mixed team of four athletes and choose your division: Firebreathers, Regulars, or Rookies. Each team must include at least one male and one female athlete. Teams may not include more than one male and one female CrossFit Games Semifinal athlete.
Please use the sign-up sheet on the info board next to the Wodify kiosk to register your team and include the names of all team members. The deadline for internal team registration is Monday, June 8th. After this date, participation will only be possible if a registered athlete has to withdraw last minute due to illness or injury.
If individual athletes are still looking for a team, we’ll do our best to help match you with others based on your preferred category. However, please keep in mind that finding a team is primarily your own responsibility.

3 Categories
The workouts will be released in June ahead of the competition. This should help you determine the appropriate category for your team if you are still undecided. As a general guideline:
• If your team usually performs most of our regular WODs Rx+, you should compete in the Firebreather category.
• If your team performs a mix of Rx’d and scaled workouts, the Regular category is likely the right fit.
• If your team consists mainly of newbies who typically perform all workouts scaled, Rookie is the appropriate category.
If you’re unsure, please speak to one of our coaches — we’ll be happy to help you choose the right division. The link below provides all important information regarding the competition format and official rules.
Please note that every team is required to provide at least one judge to assist during other heats. Ideally, this should be an athlete with previous judging experience from the Open or similar competitions.

Full-Day Action
Over the years, many members have asked whether it’s possible to participate for only part of the day. Unfortunately, the answer is no — participation requires a full-day commitment.
If you are unsure whether you can attend for the entire event, please reconsider joining a team. Last-minute cancellations are extremely disappointing for everyone involved, and without a substitute athlete, the remaining three team members will not be able to compete.
The final event schedule will be published once the total number of teams is confirmed. At the moment, we expect the first heat to begin around 8:30 AM, with the final heat finishing sometime after 5:00 PM.
As soon as all teams have completed the three events, we’ll fire up the BBQ and move into the well-earned recovery phase. And as tradition demands, the weather will of course be perfect for the STC — so expect a full evening of relaxing, post-workout beers, great food, and even better company.

Event Fee & Registration
Another great CFH tradition continues this year as we once again welcome external teams to the competition. The Swiss Team Challenge wouldn’t be the same without our longtime friends from CrossFit Höllental — and for the first time ever, we’re also excited to welcome CrossFit Freiburg. The question remains: who will earn the title of the fittest box this year?
Event fee (including competition, BBQ, and beers):
• CFH members: CHF 25 per athlete
(= CHF 100 per team if all athletes are CFH members)
• Non-members: CHF 30 per athlete
(= CHF 120 per team if all athletes are external athletes)
Team captains are responsible for collecting and submitting the full team payment, forwarding all relevant event information to their teammates, and completing the official registration process.

What Else?
Official STC event shirts can be ordered separately, although CFH does not receive any commission from these sales. Of course, you’re also welcome to create your own team outfit.
Please note that every athlete is responsible for bringing their own food for the day. Especially in warm weather, we strongly recommend bringing enough fluids and electrolytes. Our vending machine will be stocked with snacks and Nocco drinks throughout the event.
And of course, our traditional dessert buffet will return — contributions are always very welcome!
We’re looking forward to another fantastic day filled with teamwork, sweat, and fun — so gather your crew and get ready!
